Passed on from my grandfather is the Life Equation I try every day to emulate:
Knowledge + Action = Success
I can know all there is to know but if I don't do anything with it, there won't be much to create. If I take action without understanding, my efforts will be futile. By blending them together, anything can be achieved.

Outside of work and reading, I love tinkering (just fixed my maytag washing machine - no small feat for a spreadsheet jockey) and spending time with my wife Lindsay, a 5th grade English teacher, who is currently expecting our first child.
