Deadline: Sooner than later. Email me: info@katenasser.com or phone: 908.595.1515 Many thanks, Kate Nasser, The People-Skills Coach… Continue

Stephanie Noble Social media threats to brand reputation and mistaken identity.

The Rolling Stones are just like Black Sabbath. Sound right to you? How about Kanye West is just like Cole Porter? Coming to these conclusions would seem ridiculous to most people. Yet online, consumer generated commentary in social media sometimes draws odd conclusions. The result? A threat to brand reputation and mistaken identity. A threat that could drive away existing client, potential consumers, or prospective partners. Want real examples?… Continue

Stephanie Noble Political Use of Social Media. Palin v. Obama. Politicians talking "with" you or "at" you?

I think it’s an interesting comparison between Obama’s use of social media and Palin’s. Politics aside. The White House has done a poor job of engagement. They're promoters. During the campaign it was more of a two way street. Of course that's bound to happen. Typical of most organizations executing a marketing plan, once the call to action (purchase, attendance, participation, vote) or goal has been accomplished, there's not the same attention given to the relationship. In a shallow sense, thin… Continue

Steven L. Lubetkin Professional Podcasts is offering a video news "wrapper" service to help businesses promote their events and community outreach

NJTC companies often host some kind of press briefing or press event to promote their leadership in technology research and development. But here's a critical question. How often are your carefully planned events frustrated by the inability of local or statewide news organizations to cover the event, robbing your business of important visibility for the carefully planned presentation on important public or legislative issues? My guess -- based on my 30 years of senior level corporate communica… Continue

Harry Emerson NJ Business Magazine Profiles Emerson

Smart Ventures: The Quest to Make VoIP Safe. April, 2009. When Harry Emerson thinks of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), he shakes his head thinking about the millions of telephone users who give up security for inexpensive calls. And once multimedia phones, which combine voice, video and web browsing, become popular, he thinks of the intensified crime waves hackers, cyber criminals and terrorists will bring to communications. Emerson, however, is not standing on the sidelines waiting for all… Continue
